how do you fit a water temp gauge & oil pressure gauge to a bmc 2.2 engine.

Post Subject: water temp gauge

You buy a water temperature gauge KIT and an oil pressure gauge KIT with suitable adaptors to ensure you can screw the sender units into the engine. If you want to keep the oil pressure warning lamp you will need a T piece to screw into the cylinder block so you can fit both the gauge sender and warning lamps switch. The temperature sender unit fits just below the thermostat housing, I think there will be a plug or the remains of a capillary type sender unit in the head. The oil pressure sender/adaptor screws into the hole the oil pressure warning lamp uses. I trust this helps Tony Brooks
