Post Subject: toilet

Is this boat new to you or has the problem just appeared? I suspect either no tank breather (if the boat is new to you) or a blocked holding tank breather. I would hope the toilet has a "rubber" flap type non-return valve on the outlet but these can easily become dirty and not provide a 100% seal. I suspect the effluent being pumped into the tank can not displace air through the breather so when the impeller stops the pressure in the tank forces tank gasses back into the toilet. Please let me know how you solve it. Many thanks Tony Brooks
