Post Subject: Central Heating System

Hi Tony, I have read several articles on heating systems and all have covered the heat output from fin rads, panel rads & the calorifier but I have not been able to work out the heat output given from the 22 mm pipes (copper or plastic)per metre length. Can you advise. Many thanks Ray Holman

Post Subject: Central Heating System

The actual heat lost will depend upon the difference between the water temperature and the air temperature I think but putting your question into Google produced this "www.ebuild.co.uk ⺠... ⺠Building Trades ⺠Heating Systems ⺠20 Feb 2010 â Heat loss from 22mm copper pipes is about 60 W/m in horizontal runs and 45 W/ m for vertical runs for a 55deg C temperature differential ... maybe go onto the site for more information.
