Post Subject: stove flue parts

I have an old Arctic stove with a 4 inch flue pipe connected via a 45 degree cast iron elbow which was in two pieces stuck together with fire cement. I cannot seem to be able to find a replacement on the internet. Any suggestions. The elbow is of a collar and spigot type.

Unless a chandlers has one then I think that you will have to use an enamelled one. It seems 5" are available but not 4 ". Just make sure that you are measuring the size in the correct place. It might be possible to get a machine shop to turn up a couple of adaptors to fit a 5" elbow onto 4" spigots but That is all I can think of. I must point you to BS 8511 that is now advisory in respect of stove installations. Tony Brooks
