SABB starting aids
First of all it is Sabb so knowing that should help with internet searches. I doubt anyone will now stock them on the canal system because that range of engines is not now exactly prolific. I think your bets bet is http://www.sleeman-hawken.co.uk/suppliers/sabb.h tml If you need to start before you can get mail order supplies in then try removing anything flammable from the air intake (remove any air cleaner) and play a blowlamp down it while trying to start. The heat might help. If you find that with cigarettes it is still difficult to start it is likley to indicate lack of compression. Make sure any de-compressor is not holding a valve open, then check the valve clearances and then, I fear, its time for an overhaul. Sorry not to be able to give you a local supplier. Tony Brooks
