Post Subject: Log burners

Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for log burners, also where do people buy their firewood from?

I am nor going to make a recommendation. Of the two I have the Stovax has been good but the Hunter less so. Be aware that stove bodies can be of boiler plate (steel) or cast iron. Boiler plate may distort if the fire runs away where as cast iron has a tendency to crack, especially if it is heated too quickly. The quality of the castings is all so take care with cast stoves from less known manufacturers. You need to choose pone with dimensions that allow it to be fitted in accordance with BS8511 and also see https://pro.boatsafetyscheme.com/media/151028/nr 00111.1%20solid%20fuel%20stove%20release%20web%2 0final%20nov%2011.pdf (all on one line). Input from other readers requested. Tony Brooks
