Post Subject: Diesel Consumption

We have recently acquired a 60' Norton Canes boat powered by a Barrus 2002 45bhp engine. Based on say 1400rpm, what average litre per hour consumption can we expect please?

Post Subject: Diesel Consumption

Driven at a sensible speed without excess wash (I am ignoring the RPM because that depends upon the width and depth of the waterway)the figure of 1 to 1.5 litres per hour is applicable across a range of inland boats. Trying to go too fast for the waterway will require more or far more fuel.TB
