Post Subject: Lister HR2, throttle control

We have an HR2 which has been fully reconditioned and we wish to fit it into a canal boat, however the engine has no throttle control, being fixed at 1200 rpm. Is it possible to fit a throttle control?

Dear Garry, I am sure it was/is but it may well require different parts being fitted into the governor on the engine so I would advise that you contact Marine Engine Services at Uxbridge and discuss it with them. They are the experts on marine Listers now and are probably best placed to source any parts you need. Tony Brooks
