Yes, but you will need a diesel compression tester. It will either clamp into the injector holes or screw into the glowplug holes. As a rough guide expect around 400psi and no more than 10% difference between highest and lowest figure. Check thee manual for the absolutely correct pressure for a BMC 1.5. You also need a very well charged engine battery. Check/set the valve clearances first in case one is tight and holding a valve open slightly.
