Dear Angela - why was it supplied without firebricks? Was it another Ebay bargain or secondhand? If it really does not have fire bricks around the combustion area then running it may crack a cast iron stove or distort/burn a boiler plate stove. Although modern stoves use rectangular firebricks they need to be the correct size and thickness. I would suggest that you contact the stove's maker or visit a retailer that specialises in stoves - a chandler who sells stoves may also be able to help. It would not surprise me if a stove supplier might not cut what you require. Please do not try to use anything like Asbestolux type heat resistant board (Its is not asbestos) unless its about one inch thick. Tony Brooks

Try Ebaying 'Firebricks' there are 2 or 3 ads for what you want, ensure the dimensions are correct before buying, you could try Googling your make & model for the correct dimensions if your manual doesn't give them or you don't have one.
