Dear Kenny I don't recall the conversation, but if you have not got an inverter several vendors sell combined inverter/chargers so when ever the land line is in use the inverter charges the batteries unless the AC Load is higher than the land line capacity, in which case the inverter inverts and supplements the supply from the battery bank. Personally I do not like "all in one" units because if it fails you lose both parts of it. Without the capacity of the battery bank and the results of your power audit I can only guess about the charger, but I should think that any MULTI-STAGE MARINE charger will do the job. Look at the adds in the magazine for suppliers and ask what they recommend - then if it is wrong its their fault. I suspect a 20 amp upwards will do. Normally the engine battery can be ignored but if you want to charge it the you need a "two independent output" charger. Tony Brooks
