Post Subject: Boating Log Software

I like to keep a boating log on my laptop, currently I do it in Excel, does anyone know of any boat logging software to run independently of any of the available planners?

Post Subject: Boating Log Software

Dear Graham, To be honest the thought that an inland boater needs much more than a record such as you keep in Excel and I keep in a notebook has never entered my head. I have occasionally seen references to computer based logs, but I think they were just things like Excel worksheets. I suspect the UK market is simply not large enough to justify the development of a stand alone applications. There are a number Google finds from the USA & Australia and here are just two links: http://www.boatexec.com/ @ $255 http://bosunbuddy.com/ @ $99.95. As you can see they are not exactly cheap. I hope a reader pops up with a solution for you. Tony Brooks
