Post Subject: TORGEM SOLID FUEL STOVES

Hi Tony, I have a 32 foot narrowboat into which I fitted a new Torgem solid fuel stove about 5 years ago.Does this company still exist? and is there a current stove from another manufacturer that would easily fit (Villager Puffin ?) The Torgem appears to need replacement due to a broken internal lug which has allowed the side panels to move out so that i can actually see straight into the fire Thanks Paul

Post Subject: TORGEM SOLID FUEL STOVES

Dear Paul, I have no personal experience of Tor gem stoves and can not find a supplier with a quick Google. I did find someone who says he fitted a Boatmans stove in place of one but something I find simple I know others find difficult so I can not really advise you on this. I think you need to find a supplier with a range of stoves so you can assess how easy you think fitting one will be. a canal supplier may be more helpful with advice than the local "fireplace" shop.
