Post Subject: Fuel pipe size

I intend to fit seperate filters for my two fuel tanks, do you think 8mm copper pipe is of large enough diameter to feed a 1700cc merc 636 diesel engine. your opinion would be appreciated. H.Hughes

Dear Howard, Short answer is YES as long as it is not many meters in length. We use to use 5/16" pipe and that is all but 8mm. Just make sure you can get 8mm connections for the various unions. Tony Brooks
