Post Subject: Urban marinas - where?

have recently indulged in a new narrow boat - she's a beaut, I would love there to be more urban marinas near Birmingham. Does anyone use the Stratford-upon-Avon Canal at all???

Post Subject: Urban marinas - where?

The South Stratford is a very busy holiday route and the North Stratford seems a popular route into Birmingham from the Grand Union. The GU route into Birmingham being a bit shallow on its northern summit, with a lot of debris and involving narrow lock flights in less salubrious parts of Birmingham. I trust you have contacted Sherbourne Wharf. The last time I was in Birmingham they had moorings just around the corner from Gas Street. I think Gas Street basin may have BW owned moorings.
