Look, this is a public forum and as such I can perhaps not give the advice I would like to so please take great care. One seems to be a central heating boiler that will also produce mains electricity but is likely to require a heat dump if used in the summer. The other simply converts battery volatge to the mains. If you are starting from scratch please remember that a modified sine wave inverter may not work all the items you want it to. Before making that sort of choice you need to do a full power audit and charging calculations so you can get your power requirements, battery bank size, alternator size/engine running time all matched. So much depends upon how you will use the boat and the availability of shore-power the question is impossible to answer. Tony Brooks
