Post Subject: heat exchanger

hi i have a 15m tjalk powered by a daf 575 engine the coolant seems to be draining through the raw water heat exchanger tubes can you advise where in the uk i can have this part repaired.regards D.F.

The heat exchanger is almost certainly not a Daf part and if it was a UK engine I would guess it was made by Polar (now defunct) or Bowman. ASAP Supplies (ASAP-supplies.com) say they van supply replacement stacks for both makes of heat exchanger an c an offer new Bowman units for up to 428HP. They may also be able to put you in touch with a repairer. Before contacting them I would seek out your local repairer of car radiators and talk or take it to them. Tony Brooks
