Post Subject: water level

I tony i have plastic header tank on my engine when the engine gets hot not boiling the water goes from max to just above min is this normal thanks

Are you sure that is correct? When water gets hot it expands but from what you say yours is either contracting or the expansion and more is going elsewhere. In my view neither is likely so I ask again, did you type this wrong? Tony Brooks
