Post Subject: heating

i have a back boiler on my fire and 2 rads there is no pump but only the first rad gets hot the water wont go to the furthest rad it is higher than the first rad can it be flushed through to see if its blocked and when refilling what ratio of anti freeze needs using

The easy part first. 30% antifreeze will be fine, but I would use 50% so it can be topped up with plain water and still stay above the 30% mixture. You you can flush it but do not ask me how because you give absolutely no details about the layout of the system. I trust the main pipes to and from the stove are larger than 22mm copper, if not that is probably the problem, it may also be an airlock, but without a detailed knowledge of the system it is very hard to say much more.
