Post Subject: Small diesel generators

Hi tony. We are having a new narrow boat built and are interested in having a seperate small diesel generator fitted. Whilst watching Alan herd on TV fitting out his narrowboat Dover, He fitted what appeared to be a small single cylinder diesel air cooled generator. Having searched on the net i am unable to find the name of the manufacturer of this unit. Do you know of such a generator and who produces it.

I have no idea which one he fitted and I know some makes/distributors have withdrawn small units. However look at this site (http://www.advanceyacht.co.uk/generators.htm) all on one line. Personally I would avoid the Italian engined ones though. Tony Brooks

We have a Fischer Panda Generator http://www.fischerpanda.co.uk/index.html, it is based on a 300cc Kubota Diesel engine. It was fitted by http://www.onboardenergy.com/
