thanks for last reply if i drain the radiators do i just use normal car type anti freeze or do i need some sort of rust inhibitor

Most/all the common heater makers recommend car type antifreeze. Use between a 30% & 50% mixture, observe the change intervals given on the containers and never mix ed/orange/purple antifreeze with blue/green ones. Antifreeze contains corrosion inhibitors and it is these that get "used up" requiring regular changing. Tony Brooks
