Post Subject: Leaking Paloma water heater

Tony I noticed a slight drip today from my Paloma water heater. I removed the outer case & the leak appeared to be from the spindle that controls the water temperature. Is there a seal in there that I need to replace?

The answer is yes there must be a seal but as o if you can replace it I can not answer. If there is a sort of "nut" with the spindle poking through it there is probably a gland so try slightly tightening the nut. If you do it too much the spindle will not turn. If it is not a nut I suspect there is an O ring involved. Tony Brooks
